Heritage Philharmonic Saturday at Tri-City

The Heritage Philharmonic, under the direction of James Murray III, will begin their 65th season with the Virtuoso Orchestra Concert at 7:30 p.m. Saturday at Tri-City Ministries, 4500 Little Blue Parkway, Independence.
The concert program will include Grieg’s In Autumn, Opus 11; Stravinsky’s Suite No. 1 for Small Orchestra; Mozart’s Contradanses, K. 267; Bizet’s Jeux d’enfants (Children’s Games), Opus 22; Cowell’s Hymn and Fuguing Tune No. 3; Bartók’s Rumanian Folk Dances; Beethoven’s Dance No. 12 from Twelve German Dances; Sibelius’ Finlandia.
Tickets are $10 for adults, $5 for students, and children ages 8-13 may attend for free. Tickets may be purchased by calling 816-224-2890, Ext. 10 or online at tickets@heritagephilharmonic.org.
