Simkins performs Elvis tribute show

Bobby Simkins will perform a tribute to Elvis Saturday at William Chrisman High School Auditorium, 1223 N. Noland Road, Independence. Doors will at 6:30 p.m., and concert begins at 7 p.m.


Bobby won the title of Branson’s 2008 Elvis Tribute Artist of the year in October, which entitles him to compete in the worldwide competition in Memphis during Elvis week in August. Special guests include Shelli Stutzman from Jo Noth’s White Oak Dance Academy, and Chiefs cheerleader Tiffany Long will join Bobby for three songs.


Admission is $12 in advance, $15 at the door, children 8 and under are free. Buy advance tickets at Golddust Treasures, 220 W. Maple Ave., on the Independence Square.
