Hair color that has faded – especially when it is a brilliant red color that has faded to pink.
Hair color that is “growing out.” No, No! If you can’t afford to have it done on a regular basis, don’t do it at all. If you don’t like the color it is, and want to change it, have a colorist fix it. They can even help while it is growing out, by putting a wash out color on while it grows out.
Comb overs – Do I need to explain why this is so scary, Mr. Trump? Even worse, comb overs for woman.
Ugly feet – I know we are putting our sandals away and getting out our boots, but tend to your feet as needed. Corns, calluses, overgrown toenails and toe hair must go!
Neck hair – Just say no, or better yet, say “Honey, can you use these clippers to clean up my neck hairs until I get my next haircut?” if you need to.
Orange highlights – If your hair is dark and you are trying to highlight it make sure you have it done correctly. It its a bit tricky to get highlights into dark hair that are not brassy and orange looking.
Drawn on eyebrows – Now I know that some of us have lost our eyebrows over time and we need to do something about it. An eyebrow pencil is a handy tool here, Just make sure that you don’t draw one curved line for a brow. Use a feathering motion so they look a bit more natural. Also please consider permanent makeup or eyebrow tinting.
Long hair that has not been cut for months or years – Get over it. Long hair that is straggly is not attractive even if six hairs are to your waist. Trim it up.
Any hairstyle that you have had for more that 10 years – This includes mullets, “feathered back” sides, rock and roll layers (on men) and weekly roller sets. Come on now.
….and the #1 scary beauty thing is...
Hair growing out of places on your face it should not. For woman, it’s lip and chin hair. For men, it’s usually ear and nose hair. Yuck. Check your mirror people! All of this can be trimmed, plucked or waxed.
Enough said! I hope you are not too grossed out to have a beautiful day!
