Sport was rescued by Animals Best Friends about a month ago. He is a Labrador/boxer mix and is around 1 year old. Sport is shy when you first meet him, but tends to warm up to dog lovers quickly. He has a sweet disposition and likes children and other dogs. Sport loves to play in the kiddy pool. He really enjoys romping with other canines and size doesn’t matter to him, he likes dogs of all sizes. Sport recently spent some time in an ABF member’s home, and they reported that he is mostly house trained; he only had one accident in three weeks. He is also kennel trained. Sport would benefit from obedience training and might even like agility.

If you are looking for a great family dog and think Sport might be a good fit, go to our website at www.animalsbestfriends.org and complete an application. ABF does home visits and two-week trials to make sure that the animal and family are a good match.

Animals Best Friends wish list includes: Purina Dog, Puppy, Cat and Kitten Chow, dog and cat treats and chews, cow hooves or rawhides, canned dog and cat food, stuffed (no beads) and Kong toys, laundry detergent, bleach, Fantastic spray, Dawn dish liquid, paper towels, newspapers, 39 gallon trash bags, blankets, sheets, cat litter. There is a paper recycling bin in the parking lot at ABF Headquarters, 2302 S. Crysler Ave., Independence. Please, no cardboard or telephone books. We appreciate your support.
