I went to the Animals Best Friends rescue facility this weekend to spend some time with the kids there. One particular kid that stayed in my mind after I left was Max. Max is a German short-haired pointer who is 6 years old.
He is a sweet boy who is full of energy. It seems to me that Max longs for a home. He is very excited when someone comes to see him. Max grabs one of his toys and jumps around, inviting you to play with him. He loves his toys and is very much like a big puppy. However, once in a home of his own, Max should settle in nicely and enjoy some cuddle time with his new human parents.
Max came to ABF more than a year ago along with his brother, Rusty, after their human parents had died. The family couldn’t keep them and asked ABF to find them good, loving homes. Rusty was lucky enough to find his loving home several months ago.
Max is completely house trained. He and his brother Rusty were trained to have good house manners by their former owners. Max has been around infants and small children, so he would make a great family dog. He loves to go for walks and enjoys the company of other dogs.
