With second site, Timothy Lutheran has many events

Timothy Lutheran Ministries of Blue Springs on Nov. 1 will celebrate the dedication of its newly constructed second site at 301 S.W. Wyatt Road, just west of Colonial Nursery.

Services are  at 9 and 11 a.m. The community is invited to attend.

The facility houses Timothy Lutheran School (grades K- 8), an auditorium/gymnasium, and administrative offices.

Other upcoming events at the second site:

  • The congregation's new ministry, Celebrate Recovery, will kick off at 7 p.m. Nov. 5 at the new site. The purpose of this ministry is to enjoy fellowship and celebrate God’s healing power through the 12 Steps and 8 Recovery Principles.


The weekly program will begin with a large-group session that will include a lesson, worship music, personal testimony or guest speaker, followed open share small groups that are gender and issue specific.

Nov. 5 schedule – 7 to 8 p.m. large group session with lesson, personal testimony or guest speaker; 8 to 9 p.m. open share small groups with men and women’s groups (issue specific); and from 9 to 10 p.m. Four G’s Café offering fellowship, coffee and snacks.

Other Blue Springs churches that offer Celebrate Recovery include Cornerstone Church, 301 S.E. AA Highway (7 p.m. Tuesdays) and Blue Springs Christian Church, 7920 S. Missouri 7 (7 p.m. Fridays).

  • “A Woman’s Day of Hope” is from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Nov. 7.


The day will include inspirational speakers, dramas and music. The cost is $15 per person, which includes lunch and child care for the first 20 registered children ages 0-5.
