Time is running out for the public to tour the new Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints temple in Kansas City.
The open house continues through April 28, except for on Sundays. Tickets are available for the free tour at www.kansascitymormontemple.org or by calling 866-537-8457. It’s located about 25 minutes north of Independence off Interstate 435 and Shoal Creek Parkway.
Once Church of Jesus Christ President Thomas S. Monson dedicates the temple on May 6, it will remain open only to practicing Mormons who come with a recommendation from their ecclesiastical leaders.
