Goran Hunjak, professional indoor and outdoor soccer player and native of Croatia, will be the speaker at the 35th annual Mayor’s Prayer Breakfast, which will be held at 6:30 a.m. Thursday in the Laurel Club, Community of Christ Auditorium, 1001 W. Walnut St., Independence.
Hunjak, a soccer player for 19 years, says that he has been blessed with many different accomplishments and honors during his professional career. Independence residents may remember Hunjak from when he played for the Kansas City Comets and the Wizards soccer teams. He has also played for several other teams and has four years professional coaching experience.
