Caycee Comer of Columbia became the bride of Jonathan Garlow, also of Columbia, in an evening ceremony July 5, 2008, at Country Club Christian Church in Kansas City. The Rev. Carla Aday officiated at the double-ring ceremony.
The bride, the daughter of Larry and Cheryl Comer of Independence, wore a white silk taffeta gown by Jim Hjelm. The gown featured a strapless bodice with a Swarovski crystal V-neckline, shirred body, full skirt and a chapel-length train.
The mother of the bridegroom is Susan Foster of Lake Ozark, Mo.
Allyson Thornton assisted the bride as maid of honor, with Carly Comer, Kristin Cunningham and Ryan Worthington as bridesmaids.
Scott Kugler served as best man, with Chuck Cooper, Joe Garlow and Mark Rooney as groomsmen. Mike McClung, Calvin Comer and Chris Mueller were ushers.
The reception was held at the Boulevard Brewing Co.
Caycee received a bachelor’s degree in apparel marking and merchandising from the University of Missouri-Columbia in 2004, and is manager of Swank Boutique.
Jonathan received a bachelor’s degree in nutritional sciences and a master’s degree in exercise physiology from UMC, and is director of fitness and nutrition at Wilson’s Total Fitness in Columbia.
After a honeymoon in St. Maarten and Anguilla, Mr. and Mrs. Garlow are at home in Columbia.
