Nicole Johnston and Michael Gaage exchanged marriage vows on Sept. 20, 2008, at the Salvation Army Church in Independence. Lonnie Griffin officiated at the double-ring ceremony.
The bride is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Darryl Steinmann of Independence, and the groom is the son of Debbie Lanphear and Wesley Gaage, both of Independence.
The bride, escorted by her father, chose Cristi Gray as matron of honor, and Trina Lanphear and Briana Lanphear as bridesmaids. Brooklyn Gaage and Sydnee Morgan were flower girls, Jordan Gaage was ring bearer, with Nicholas Reyes Jr. as candlelighter. Heather Kobe and Tamer Reyes were guest book attendants.
Raymond Morgan served as best man, with Peter Lanphear and Dave Bristow as groomsmen. Nicholas Reyes Sr. and Michael Johnston were ushers.
The reception included dinner and dancing at the Mike Onka Memorial Hall in Sugar Creek.
After a honeymoon in Jamaica, Mr. and Mrs. Gaage are at home in Independence.
