¬Stacy Elizabeth Freeman became the bride of Vinit Vinayak Patil in an afternoon ceremony Oct. 5, 2008, at The Loretto in Kansas City. Dr. Roger Coleman officiated at the double-ring ceremony.
The bride is the daughter of Sandy and Bob Edson of Broomfield, Colo., and Steve Freeman and the late Camelle Freeman of Independence. The parents of the bridegroom are Vinayak and Vidya Patil of Pune, India.
Christy Hendricks assisted the bride as maid of honor, with Morgan Presley and Kim Miller as bridesmaids. Tyler Freeman served as ring bearer, with Kelsey Freeman as flower girl.
Vikram Shabde served as best man, with Paul Durham and Adam Crane as groomsmen.
The reception was held at The Loretto.
The bride received a Bachelor of Science with Distinction in biology, and her master’s degree in biology from Missouri State University. She is a research assistant at Baylor College of Medicine in Houston.
The bridegroom received an HSC degree from Rajarshi Shahu College, his MB, BS from Lokmanya Tilak Municipal Medical College, and his master’s degree in biology from Missouri State University. He is pursuing his Ph.D. at Baylor College of Medicine.
The couple had another wedding ceremony in Pune, India, in December. Mr. and Mrs. Patil are at home in Houston.
