Monica Lynn Silvey of Independence became the bride of Cole Anthony Erdmann of Windsor, Mo., in an evening ceremony June 20, 2008, at the First Baptist Church of Independence. The Rev. Clay Withers officiated at the ceremony.
The bride is the daughter of Cale and Suzi McFarland of Independence, and Dan and Nanette Silvey of Highlands Ranch, Colo. Monica is also the granddaughter of Ed and Sue Russell of Independence, Yvonne McFarland of Kearney, Mo., and Virginia Silvey of Ava, Mo.
The bridegroom, the son of Michael and Nancy Erdmann of Windsor, is the grandson of Ruth Silver and the late Frank Silver of Windsor, and the late Roy Erdmann and the late Faye Ruscitto, formerly of Warrensburg, Mo.
The bride was given in marriage by her father and stepfather.
Dana Silvey, sister of the bride, assisted as maid of honor, with Blair Dean, Morgan Bradley and Franci Erdmann, sister of the groom, as bridesmaids. Weatherly Russell served as candlelighter.
Cody Erdmann and Jakob Erdmann, brothers of the groom, served as co-best men, with Phillip Cantwell and Ryan Hintz as groomsmen. Michael Lisson, Justin Kesner, Davey Krause and Nate Dean were ushers.
The reception was held in the Grand Ballroom at Courtyard by Marriott in Blue Springs.
The bride, a 2003 graduate of Truman High School, received a bachelor’s degree in elementary education from William Jewell College in 2007. Monica is a second grade teacher at North Rock Creek Elementary School in Independence.
The groom, a 2004 graduate of Windsor High School, received a bachelor’s degree in international business and language from William Jewell in 2007. Cole is pursing his MBA at Rockhurst University and is a family asset developer for El Centro Inc. in Kansas City, Kan.
After a honeymoon in Jamaica, Mr. and Mrs. Erdmann are at home in Liberty.
