Messiah Lutheran Church in Independence hosted the annual Cub Christmas Craft event Dec. 1. Troops, Packs, a Venture team, and members from the Girl Scouts helped staff the craft tables.

Annette Clark, the organizer of the event, related that over 100 Scouts from 16 Packs registered to create a variety of crafts and bakery items.

Cub Scouting is a program for any boy in second to fifth grade, and promotes character development, citizenship, and physical fitness through family involvement.
