Ashley Walker became the bride of Jared Epperly in an afternoon ceremony Oct. 25, 2008, at Woods Chapel United Methodist Church. Pastor Randall Stotts officiated at the double-ring ceremony.

The bride, the daughter of Neil and Debbie Walker of Blue Springs, wore a white “Essence of Australia” angel satin gown with beaded straps crossing to form a low back. The gown featured a basave waist with Swarovski crystals and diamante beading throughout the gown, including the cathedral-length train.

The parents of the bridegroom are Jerry and Suzanne Epperly of Ozark, Mo.

Mandy Fiechtner assisted the bride as matron of honor, with Sarah McCarthy, Lindsey Carpenter and Heather Stengel as bridesmaids. Bailey Atkinson was flower girl, with Brody Bay as ring bearer.

Jeffrey Epperly served as best man, with Derek Scalf, Justin Brown and Blake Walker as groomsmen, as well as ushers.

The reception was held at the Blue Springs Elks Lodge.

The bride, a 2001 graduate of Blue Springs South High School, and a 2005 graduate of William Jewell College, is employed by American Century Investments.

The bridegroom, a 2005 graduate of William Jewell, is employed by Assurant Employee Benefits.

After a honeymoon in Jamaica, Mr. and Mrs. Epperly are at home in Grain Valley.
