Quilters guild delivers 23 quilts to hospitals

Peggy Patterson, head of the quilt donations for the Lee’s Summit Quilters Guild, delivered 23 quilts to Truman Medical Center East within the last month.

The guild does accept lap-size quilts or baby quilts to be donated to hospitals and nursing homes.

The making of these quilts is an ongoing project for the guild members.

The meeting on Feb. 8 at Holy Spirit Catholic Church, 1800 S.W. Missouri 150, Lee’s Summit, will feature Linda Everhart of Topeka, who will be doing a trunk show.

Non-members may attended for a $5 fee. For more information, visit www.lsquilters.com.
