St. Mark's Catholic Church on Lee's Summit Road will hold its annual St. Joseph's Table fundraiser from 10:30 a.m.-4 p.m. this Sunday. It consists of sale of cookies and baked goods, a raffle and meatless spaghetti dinner. Blessing of the Table and the beginning cookie sales take place after the 5:30 p.m. Mass on Saturday. Proceeds will be given to the St. Vincent de Paul Society to assist the needy in the community.
Several dozens volunteers are involved in the ministry, and they baked thousands of cookies of several types over the past eight weeks. Dinners are $8 each for adults and $3 for children.
