WHAT: Blue Springs High School presents “Rumors,” a farcical comedy by Neil Simon (1988), directed by Lisa Lowman and presented by special arrangement with Samuel French, Inc.

WHEN: 7 p.m. Thursday-Saturday.

WHERE: Blue Springs High School Performing Arts Center, 2000 NW Ashton Drive, Blue Springs.

HOW MUCH: Tickets are $7.

WHAT THE SHOW IS ABOUT: At a large, tastefully appointed Palisades townhouse, the deputy mayor of New York has just shot himself. It's only a flesh wound, but four couples are about to experience a severe farce attack. Gathering for a celebration of the deputy mayor and his wife's 10th wedding anniversary, the host lies bleeding in the other room, his wife is nowhere in sight. His lawyer, Ken, and Ken's wife, Chris, must get the story straight before other guests arrive. As the confusions and miscommunications mount, and the police arrive later, the evening spins off into farcical hilarity (from samuelfrench.com).
