A man considered a person of interest in a recent Independence homicide also is wanted in Kansas City in connection with a homicide there.

Kansas City Police say they are looking for 31-year-old Jerome T. Roberson, who also goes by “Rome,” regarding a shooting death early Thursday at the 2500 block of Quincy Avenue in northeast Kansas City. Roberson should be considered armed and dangerous, police say.

He also is considered a person of interest in the Oct. 28 shooting death of 29-year-old Brandan Ray Brown, who was killed in a trailer park off 47th Street just south of U.S. 40. Brown reportedly had been working at the trailer park as a maintenance man.

People with information about Roberson should call the Kansas City homicide unit at 816-234-5043, the TIPS hotline at 816-474-8477, IPD at 816-325-7777 or email leads@indepmo.org.
