Police continue to investigate Saturday’s double homicide at Hawthorne Place Apartments in northeast Independence, which left two men dead.
The victims have been identified as 20-year-old Ernesto Delahoz and 18-year-old Bradley Sartain, both of Independence.
They were found after officers were called at 12:38 a.m. Saturday on a shooting in the 600 block of North Peck Court, where they found Delahoz and Sartain. According to police, one victim was found inside an apartment and one was found outside, and neither victim was a resident of the complex.
As of Monday afternoon, police had no one in custody.
The double-shooting marks the 10th and 11th homicides this year in Independence.
