WHAT: The William Chrisman Theater Department presents, “Sherlock Holmes,” an adaptation of Sir Arthur Conan Doyle's famed detective story by Tim Kelly (1977), directed by Kim Hayes and produced by special arrangements with Pioneer Drama Service.
WHEN: 7 p.m. Thursday-Saturday.
WHERE: William Chrisman High School, 1223 N. Noland Road, Independence.
HOW MUCH: Tickets are $5 in advance and $6 at the door. Before Saturday's show, Project Graduation is hosting an English tea party with food and a silent auction. Tickets for tea are $5.
WHAT THE PLAY IS ABOUT: This entertaining adaptation combines mystery, romance, action, danger and laughter. Alice Faulkner has letters written by a dead girl that will cause grave international problems. Professor Moriarty wants those letters; so does Holmes. The game’s afoot! But not before Moriarty’s gang has London in its grip.
Only young Holmes understands the true objective the professor has in mind (too sinister to reveal here), and he’s willing to put his own life on the line to stop it. (from pioneerdrama.com)
