Two seniors from Fort Osage High School have been honored by the Rotary Club of Independence as students of the month.

• Chad Sederwall is in National Honor Society and is enrolled in four dual-credit classes.

He has been active in varsity basketball and as a basketball referee for the Fort Osage youth league. He is an employee of Damage Control and Restoration and a student leader at Emerge Youth Church. He also is a volunteer at AbilityTreeCamp for adults with special needs.

His future plans are to graduate with a masters degree in physical education and a minor in special education to become a teacher and basketball coach in an intercity school.

His parents are Darren and Cinda Sederwall.

• Camryn Miller is on the B honor roll. She was named all-conference in basketball and also was all-conference, all-district and all-area in volleyball. She was chosen as the 2017 Homecoming queen.

She earned a four-year letter in basketball and track, three-year letter in volleyball, plus she is a Student Council senior representative.

She plans to join the Air Force to become an air-traffic controller.

Her parents are Tiffany Ralston and Rickey Miller.
