Blue Springs Police are investigating a non-injury shooting Saturday stemming from an apparent case of road rage. The alleged shooter fired at least three times, hitting a driver's side window of one vehicle and a glass door of a nearby house.
The incident happened about 4 a.m. Saturday. A man was returning home from a store on the way back from work and was southbound on Adams Dairy Parkway when he stopped at Moreland School Road to turn right, police said. A dark-colored Dodge Charger with tinted windows that had been driving erratically behind the man pulled up beside him at Moreland and someone inside fired multiple shots.
The first man's rear driver's side window was shot out, as was a sliding glass door of a residence in a housing complex on the corner. Nobody was home at the residence, police said. Investigators found two .40 caliber shell casings inside the victim's vehicle and another inside the residence.
Police are searching for a black or dark-gray Charger and have not found any video surveillance footage showing the suspect vehicle.
