The Independence Young Matrons announce their annual Children’s Theatre Performance, presented by our members as a free gift to the community.

“The Pirates and the Treasure Map,” written and directed by Ray Ettinger, tells the story of Lady Pirates, and their search for a Hidden Treasure Chest. During their search for the treasure, they encounter Sea Creatures, who give them clues to help them on their quest.

Performances are held March 2 through 8, in the William Chrisman High School Auditorium, U.S. 24 and Noland Road, Independence. The daytime performances are by invitation only to Independence pre-schools, community groups and Independence School District children, kindergarten through 2nd grade.

The final performance at 7 p.m. March 8, is free and open to the public.
