The Blue Springs North Branch of Mid-Continent Public Library is offering the following activities for the month of April. The library is located at 850 N.W. Hunter Drive. All activities are free, but registration is required, call 816-224-8772.

Storytime for Families: For all ages, 10 a.m. Wednesdays/Thursdays; 6:30 p.m. April 9 and 23. Hear stories, sing songs, join in movement activities, and more. Bring the whole family.

Book Group: For adults, 7 p.m. April 5. Come meet like-minded people, enjoy lively discussion, learn which books inspire others, and talk about your favorite books!

KC Zoomobile – Australia: For ages 5 and older, 10:30 a.m. April 7. Go on an Australian-themed adventure with the Kansas City Zoo. Learn Aussie folklore and culture, and meet some animal friends from “down under.” Join the Zoo staff, and learn something new about Australia!

Making Memes, Library Posters and So Much More: For teens, 6:30 p.m. April 10. Using basic Adobe Illustrator tools, photos, and typography, learn to make your own memes and posters. Each participant will make two memes.

Introduction to Tai Chi: For adults, 7 p.m. April 12, 19, 26. Explore the ancient practice of Tai Chi, and experience the benefits these low-impact exercises have on balance and fitness. This is a three-part program.

Tom’s Town Quintet: 2 p.m. April 15. Five members of the Kansas City’s Vine Street Orchestra recreate a live jazz jam session with the music that made KC famous worldwide. Kansas City Jazz history is presented with an audience-friendly interactive discussion.

WeDo LEGO Robotics – Drumming Monkey: For ages 8 and older, 6:30 p.m. April 16. Build a musical monkey and program him to drum to your beat! Kids will work in pairs to make this simple robot.

Teen Anime: 6:30 p.m. April 24. Join fellow fanatics for fun!
