You're invited to the P&L Gallery Event space at 6 p.m. April 13 for the 17th annual American Cancer Society Shave to Save event. The Gallery is located at 61 E. 14th St., Kansas City.
Volunteers raised money to shave their head on stage in solidarity of those going through a cancer diagnosis. One hundred percent of the donations and sponsorship money raised will to to the Hope Lodge of Kansas City’s day-to-day operations and help keep their doors open. The American Cancer Society Hope Lodge is a place for cancer patients and their caregivers to stay free of charge during their treatment.
Shave to Save event goers will enjoy heavy appetizers, drinks, silent and live auction, entertainment and show support to this year's Shavees who will shave their heads on stage in support of those fighting back against cancer. Guests will also enjoy an after party at the Kill Devil Club with entertainment from the M80s immediately following the event.
Since opening in 2000, Hope Lodge Kansas City has served more than 14,000 patients and their caregivers. To date, Shave to Save has had more than 235 Shavees and contributed more than $2 million to the operating budget of the Hope Lodge Kansas City.
