A single-vehicle accident Thursday afternoon sent four teenagers – all Blue Springs South High School students – to the hospital. Two of the injured teens were ejected from the vehicle, according to the Jackson County Sheriff's Office.
The teenagers' names had not been released by the sheriff's office and their conditions were unknown as of Thursday evening.
The accident happened on Taylor Road north of Moreland School Road and east of Adams Dairy Parkway, just outside the Blue Springs city limits.
The vehicle, a Jeep Liberty SUV, was southbound on Taylor and left the roadway on the opposite side before crashing. A sheriff's spokesperson said shortly after the accident that investigators did not yet know why the vehicle left the road.
