The Grain Valley Branch of Mid-Continent Public Library is offering the following activities for the month of May. The library is located at 101 S.W. Eagles Pkwy. All activities are free, but registration is required, call 816-228-4020.

• Storytime for Families: For all ages, 10 a.m. Wednesdays, May 2-16 and 30. Come share the early literacy experience with the whole family. Hear stories, sing songs, join in movement activities, and more. Bring the whole family, and make some great family memories at the Library!

• Tools for Job Seekers: For adults, 6:30 p.m. May 3 and 10. Acquire the basic tools needed when applying for jobs in this two-part series. Session One will include resume assistance and tips for filling out online job applications. Session Two will include cleaning up online profiles and effective online communication that will help you put your best foot forward in today’s tough job market.

• Book Group: For adults, 6:30 p.m. May 7. Come meet like-minded people, enjoy lively discussion, learn which books inspire others, and talk about your favorite books.

• A Wild Adventure: For ages 3 and older, 10 a.m. May 23. Join Georgia and her wild animal friends for an interactive adventure filled with stories and songs, and discover why elephants have trunks and rabbits have short tails.
