The GFWC Nu-Era Study Club will meet at 9:30 a.m. May 9, at Kathy Palermo’s home in Lakewood, with Sue Gaddy co-hosting. The Sophomore Pilgrimage Report will be presented by Bonnie Balmer, Club and District Chairman. New members will be initiated and the new Officers will be installed.

The Club’s May Service Project will be held on May 17, from 9 a.m. to noon, at Heart to Heart International, 9650 Dice Lane, Lenexa. A donation of $100 will be given.

• Fundraising Garage Sale, May 31st through June 2nd, at 101 N.E. Shoreview Court, Lee’s Summit.

On April 4, the Nu-Era Study Club met at Hillcrest Thrift Store in Lee’s Summit with Jan Cocks and Lisa Nichols co-hosting. Officer elections were held and the Federation Day Video was shown. Mike Weissenbach, Captain of Fire Prevention and Scott Sutton (Nephew of Trish Shelton) spoke to the Club on the Fire Department and Safety Issues. The April Service Project was Stamp Out Hunger Mail Carriers Food Drive at Sandy Dennis’ home in Lee’s Summit.
