Preceptor Alpha Tau names Madeline Kobe as this year's Legacy. Madeline is the daughter of Sarah and Josh Kobe of Liberty and our president Sandy Lee's granddaughter. Our chapter honored Madeline with a taco dinner along with chocolate chip cookies for dessert. We had a legacy ritual and she received a Beta Sigma Phi necklace, yellow rose and was showered with gifts and cards. Madeline is a remarkable young lady and it is an honor to have her as our legacy.

Preceptor Alpha Tau held its election for officers for the next year. Congratulations to the following ladies: Cindy Parkes of Independence, President; Angie Harris of Independence, Vice President; Sandy Lee of Independence, Treasurer; Mary Pace of Independence, recording secretary; Cheryl Brooks of Overland Park, Corresponding Secretary; Sandy Lee of Independence will be the adviser.

Congratulations to Cathy Baker who has moved from our chapter to be in Gamma Omicron Masters chapter. Preceptor Alpha Tau welcomes our newest member, Tammy Johnson of Grain Valley, to our group. We held a welcome ritual for Tammy at our last meeting and are looking forward to having her in our chapter.

Congratulations to Sandy Lee of Independence who was elected as the Independence city council treasurer for Beta Sigma Phi and Cindy Parkes of Independence who was elected as the corresponding secretary for Beta Sigma Phi city council.
