Who was your most inspirational teacher and why?

Ms. (Sara) Crump, my AP English Literature and Composition teacher, was an energetic and resourceful mentor at Blue Springs High School. Her classroom, a unique blend of creativity and camaraderie, was the highlight of my senior school year. In addition, Crump strove to enlighten all her students and push them to do their very best in life. I hope to one day be as gifted and passionate as my favorite teacher.

What college are you attending and why did you pick that school?

I will be attending the California Institute of Technology after high school. Cal Tech is one of the top universities in the world and stands as a premier center of research throughout a wide variety of fields. Caltech offers me an optimal path to becoming a future chemist, but also helps create connections between me and other bright minds, whether it be fellow students or diligent researchers.
