Kansas City Parks and Recreation and The Society for Friendship with China will hold their 14th annual Kansas City International Dragon Boat Festival from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. (practice is at 8 a.m.) June 9, at Brush Creek on the Country Club Plaza, Ward Parkway and J.C. Nichols Parkway.

This daylong event that honors an ancient Chinese sporting tradition, features a fleet of boating teams competing on the water, as well as a variety of live cultural performances and delicious food and beverage options. With something for guests of all ages, this festival is a great event for the entire family!
