The Midwestern Cattle Baron’s Ball will be held June 16, at Municipal Auditorium Exhibition Hall 301 W. 13th St., Kansas City. Dinner, live music with Casi Joy, the program, activities and more are from 6 to 8 p.m.; with 2016 American Idol winner Trent Harmon performing from 9 to 10 p.m.; and DJ Ashton Martin spinning from 10 p.m. to midnight.

The Midwestern is an American Cancer Society annual “party with a purpose” gala where guests dress in their western chic attire to celebrate one's commitment to help save lives, celebrate lives and lead the fight for a world without cancer. The funds raised this year will help keep the doors open to Kansas City Hope Lodge, a place for cancer patients and their caregivers to stay free of charge while they undergo cancer treatment.

There will be also be mechanical bull rides, hippo chowdown, liquor lasso, silent auction and live auction, dinner, and dancing. The program will feature co-chairs, Cassie Robinson and Joshua James, and emcees, Caroline Sweeney with KCTV5 and Codie Allen with 106.5 The Wolf.
