Last weekend, MoDOT closed I-70 between I-470 and I-435 to demolish the Pittman, Crysler and Phelps bridges and clean up the debris. Crews also took the time to clean drains, flush clogged pipes, flush the U.S. 40 and Sterling Avenue bridges, sweep the highways lanes and patch needed spots over the seven-mile stretch of highway. MoDOT says it collected four truckloads of trash during the weekend cleanup.
