Konrad’s Kitchen and Tap House in Lee's Summit will host a St. Baldrick’s Foundation head-shaving event from 1 to 5 p.m. June 24, to raise funds and awareness for lifesaving childhood cancer research.
With a goal of raising $8,000, nearly 20 local volunteers will go bald to support the Foundation’s mission to take childhood back from cancer.
St. Baldrick’s Honored Kid Ezra Gustin was diagnosed with Wilms tumor in July 2016. This year, Ezra will be celebrating his completion of treatment, with the results showing he has no evidence of disease. To commemorate this milestone, Ezra’s mom, Rosemary Gustin, will be shaving her head for the second time at a St. Baldrick’s event.
