The 25th annual Water Garden Tour, sponsored by the Greater Kansas City Water Garden Society, will be held July 7 and 8.

The self-directed tour, which is one of the largest water garden tours in the country, will include more than 40 gardens across the metropolitan area. Many of the sites have never been featured on the tour before, and guests can expect to see koi ponds, working trains, sculpture gardens and elaborate landscapes.

At several sites on the tour, musicians will be performing tranquil music, and at other gardens, artists will be sketching or painting next to the water features.

Tickets for the two-day tour are $10 per person and are available at all garden centers in the greater Kansas City area, Hen House Markets and Westlake Hardware stores. Children under 14 are admitted free with an adult. Visit kcwatergardens.com or call 816-305-5963 for details.
