The city of Independence will resume disconnection of utility services for delinquent the week of Nov. 12. This follows a six-month pause on disconnects after the introduction of a new utilities billing system and an independent external audit.

Customers with overdue accounts may receive a notice or phone call. They can begin a repayment plan by contacting customer service at 816-325-7930 or utilitycustomerservice@indepmo.org.
