The Missouri State Highway Patrol next month will conduct several traffic enforcement operations that target impaired drivers.
The patrol and Kansas City Police will be conducting a sobriety checkpoint in Clay County along with several driving while impaired “saturation patrols” in Henry, Cass, Benton and Platte counties.
If you encounter a checkpoint, you will be asked to produce your driver license and proof of insurance. Normal wait time is about five minutes. Unless suspected of drinking and driving, motorists won’t have to exit their vehicles.
