The Lee’s Summit Firefighter’s Association, Local 2195, will collect donations for the Lee's Summit Social Services at a "boot block" Dec. 22, 23, and 24.
Off-duty Lee’s Summit firefighters will be at the intersection of Third Street and Douglas in Downtown Lee’s Summit from approximately 9 a.m. to dusk to accept donations.
All of the donations will be given to Lee’s Summit Social Services Needy Family Fund. Last year $16,000 was given to Lee’s Summit Social Services to help those in need.
The Lee’s Summit Firefighters Association has been conducting this drive for 30 years, and it urges everyone to please drive by and help make a difference in someone’s life during the holiday season and throughout the year.
