The Morgan County Sheriff's Office has identified an elderly couple who were found dead in their home.

Officials say 82-year-old Wayne L. Wells and 71-year-old Mable I. Wells were found in their home Tuesday in a home in Ivy Bend, south of the Morgan County town of Stover.

KYTV reports a neighbor called 911 after finding Mable Wells in a pool of blood. Deputies found Wayne Wells in another room.

The sheriff's office says both victims were shot several times, probably Monday evening.

KCTV in Kansas City reported that Mable Wells was wheelchair-bound and was a prominent Lake of the Ozarks real estate agent.

Authorities say a door had been forced open and the lights were on in the home. The couple had many relatives in Eastern Jackson County.
