Bob Muenz is switching his badge and moving a few miles down the interstate.
Muenz, the Oak Grove Police chief for more than 13 years, has been named the first deputy police chief for Blue Springs.
Blue Springs Police Chief Wayne McCoy made the announcement Monday. Muenz has 20 years of law enforcement experience.
The Deputy Chief position was created as part of the voter-approved Dedicated Public Safety Sales Tax initiative in 2011.
