Crash injures 2 teens

Two teens were injured Saturday in a traffic accident near Oak Grove on Interstate 70.
The accident happened at 6:50 p.m. Saturday on Interstate 70 when a 2000 Chevrolet Cavalier, driven by Daniel P. Edwards, 18, of Columbia, Mo., struck tire debris and ran off the leftside of the interstate. According to the Missouri State Highway Patrol report, the vehicle then overturned and came to rest upright.
Jordan R. Carter, 16, and Ariel N. Clayton, 17, both of Columbia, were taken to Centerpoint Medical Center with moderate injuries. All three of the occupants were wearing seat belts.
Charges are pending in the accident.
