The Jackson County Circuit Court on Wednesday announced that 20 employees have decided to apply for voluntary retirement or resignation, according to Jackson County spokeswoman Mary Jacobi.
As a result, no involuntary cuts are planned at this time, according to Jacobi.
The court offered employees the opportunity to retire or resign in an effort to reduce its 2010 budget. However, the court can’t know what the future holds regarding staffing because both the county and state budgets are uncertain.
