Trivia Night fundraiser
Saturday, a fun-filled trivia night will be held at the Grain Valley Middle School on East Ryan Road.
The game will be played with team members of at least 16 years or older and a maximum of eight players per team. The entry fee is $80 all proceeds going to the Grain Valley Assistance Council. You are welcome to bring snacks. Pop and water will be sold.

Red Cross babysitting
Monday, May 10 and 17, from 6-9 p.m., the American Red Cross will hold babysitting classes especially designed for students ages 11-15 years of age. Classes will be held at the Grain Valley Community Center behind City Hall at 713 Main St.
This is a wonderful opportunity for teens and preteens to get training in first aid and learn how to handle emergency situations that may arise while caring for younger individuals. Feeding, diapering, and holding a baby properly will also be covered during the two day session.
Learn new ways of entertaining young children which can be challenging at times. Methods of interacting with both children and parents will discussed in addition to ways of finding safe babysitting jobs.
The cost for the two-day session is $50; each student will receive a handbook.
