Scholastic Honors: Top 1 percent; McCoy Award recipient; received several scholarships; member of the National Honor Society; named to the honor roll throughout high school and selected as Student of the Month by the Rotary Club of Independence.

High school and community activities: Member of the Student Council and participated on the varsity cheerleading squad.

1 To what do you attribute your academic success? A lot of hard work and dedication. Never giving up when the going got tough.

2 Who was your biggest influence on your studies? I think the biggest influence on my studies was Mr. (Patrick) Layden. I never wanted to disappoint him, and I would always consult him before I made any academic or future decisions.

3 What was your favorite activity in high school? Why? Student Council was my favorite activity because we go to plan and create the school dances. Also our sponsors were amazing. Mrs. Kline and Mr. Layden were so much fun to be around but knew how to keep us all in line.

4 What college do you plan to attend and why? I am attending the University of Missouri-Columbia in the fall. I want to major in pre-pharmacy with a minor in business and Spanish.

5 What do you see yourself doing 10 years from now? In 10 years, I would like to own my own bilingual pharmacy.
