Women’s group thanks Examiner

The GFWC Nu-Era Study Club presented Examiner news clerk Jillayne Ritchie a plaque on Wednesday, Feb. 1, recognizing the newspaper’s role in publicizing the works of the women’s group. Rep. Solon honors Citizen of the Year

Rep. Sheila Solon, R- Blue Springs, presented a resolution to the Citizen of the Year, Mark Hissong, for his dedication to his community and veterans. Hissong was chosen by the Truman Heartland Community Foundation for his participation with ATK Small Caliber Systems erecting The Wall That Heals veteran monument in Pink Hill Park.
