The 10th Annual “Let Freedom Ring” Parade will begin in the parking lot of Immanuel Baptist Church at 23rd Street and South Main Street in Independence.
Participants will gather at 9:30 a.m. on Wednesday, July 4. The parade will start promptly at 10 a.m.
Bring your bells to ring, flags to wave, drums to beat, whistles to blow and horns to toot. Wear red, white and blue. Decorate your bike, wagon or scooter.
Everyone will walk, ride, or scoot north on South Main Street, ending at Historic Independence Square.
Independence Mayor Don Reimal will be riding with Ralph Goldsmith and his Pioneer Trails tour wagon.
Veterans are encouraged to participate and will take their place behind the color guard.
Enjoy a cold treat provided by Clinton’s ice cream shop at the end of the route.
