One day a boy of 7 named Jimmy decided that since the weather was nice and no school, he’d fly his kite on this bright, sunny day. A field joined his parents’ property and he felt it was a good day for this. In his room, he’s putting his kite together and had a thrill feeling – when the kite was together. The colors were a brilliant hue and looked like a bright rainbow. Downstairs, and to the door, he hollered to his mom “Oh Mom, come see my kite.”
On out the door, he went onto the field – his kite was to/fro – in the wind and became higher and higher and Jimmy was so happy.
When he looked toward the house – he noticed Mom/Dad watching the gala of the kite skyward.
In about half and hour of kite flight, Jimmy went to his Mom/Dad and Poogie, the dog, and all of them went into the home for supper.
The mean over with, so Jimmy and his dad disassembled the kite and wrapped it in foil to keep its shape then placed it into a box of use again later. Bedtime and Jimmy went to his room, and Poogie followed along behind him.
The light out, after Jimmy’s in bed, and Poogie was lying on the rug beside the bed and both slept all night.
