Have your pet's photo taken with Santa
Animals Best Friends will be sponsoring “Pet Photos with Santa” from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. Dec. 6, 7, 13, 14, 20 and 21 at the Independence PetSmart, 39th Street and Missouri 291. Parents will receive one 4 x 6 digital color photograph in a holiday frame.
The cost is $9.95 with a PetPerks savings card. For participating in PetSmart’s Santa Claws program, ABF will receive $5 for each photo taken. Adopt-A-Pet will take place from noon to 4 p.m. each weekend, with Independence Animal Shelter dogs. ABF dogs may be viewed.

Trails Center plans a Wilder Christmas
Holiday cheer will be served up at the National Frontier Trails Museum from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m., Saturday, 318 W. Pacific Ave., Independence.
There will be free wagon rides throughout the day, with paid museum admission. After the ride, warm up with hot apple cider and cookies. Laura Ingalls Wilder will present “Christmases Past” at 11 a.m. and 1 p.m.
Tickets for the Wilder presentation are $7, $5 for ages 6 to 17. Reservations are strongly recommended. Call 816-325-7575.
