A man mowing his lawn behind his home near 23rd Street and Emery Avenue at about 9:20 a.m. noticed smoke coming from his house and called 911 early Thursday morning.
When firefighters arrived, the house was fully involved, according to fire officials.
There were no injuries, but the home was destroyed. Fire officials listed the home as $100,000 in damages and $40,000 in personal contents. A neighboring home suffered about $500 in vinyl siding damage.
The cause is unknown.
