Grand opening of Independence Events Center Saturday

The grand opening of Independence Events Center will be held from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturday, 19100 E. Valley View Parkway, Independence.

A ribbon cutting dedication ceremony will be immediately followed by a grand opening celebration and public open house, featuring hockey demonstrations, free ice skating (bring your skates or rent)  and tours.
